Yes it can. My Yahoo account including Answers, 360 page, and email were all deleted by Yahoo in April for too many violations for "multiple postings of adult content". I just received a violation notice tonight for a question I posted last night.
EDIT: BTW, you will NOT receive a warning from Yahoo that you're going to be deleted; they just do it.

Yeah you would have to get so many violations that Yahoo pulls the plug on your account.

Yes you can. In fact my sister got suspended because of to many violations. I am on my 3rd one. The 2nd one was because I told a kid to do their own homework.
