Science says 2011 will be the one, while religion/faith and folklore says it's 2012. Whatever your reasons for fearing those soon to be years, what are you doing to prepare yourself for whatever it is you think/feel is going to happen?
I know the science buffs will cry out about those first few words of the question, but I'm not going to go into all the stuff that's been written r.e. 2011 by scientists and the likes of NASA, etc, you're just going to have to look into it yourself, or as usual write a cutting remark before knowing the full facts.

R.E. LINKS & INFO = Like Willow says, just do a search for 2012 - simple enough - there's GAZILLIONS of pages online about 2012. Any science buffs who don't know about 2011 and all that's due to happen don't know very much so also need to update their studies; what happened in Canada was a big warning to us, but it's not been heeded (I don't spoonfeed info; go do some research yourself).

According to the Mayan calendar,2012, it will be the end of the Kali age. But,its the solar storms that are suppose to happen, maybe that will be the end,or there could be major power outages, and strong winds.Best go underground somewhere, with plenty of canned food.

Oh good, another interesting question to think about. I've been looking at all the websites about 2012 for 3 or 4 years, I've also read a few of the books and still everybody has a different opinion of what may happen. So I've come to the conclusion that either, we'll all become in touch with our other senses, ie, telepathy etc, or we will enter another mini ice-age. And before either of these happen i think there may be some serious worldwide natural disasters to 'kill off' some of the worlds population. I will try to be prepared for any natural disaster that could happen. I do think that whatever is going to happen will be over by 21st dec 2012, then we will enter new age. Have you read 'The wind of change' By Julie Soskin.
Nessie K. Google 2012, theres loads of stuff on it, but you have to filter out the fantasists websites.

Hmmm... predictions are notoriously well, unpredictable! I havent heard that anything special is coming in 2012, and I would be interested to know your source. However, there is no doubt that the future is going to be harder than the present duo to a variety of factors - geopolitical, socialogical, economical, geological, as well as climatealogical (? is that spelt right?) that I havent time to go into here. So, whilst there is no need to go out an build a nuclear bomb shelter in your garden there are somethings I do do: I have gradually switched my property to run on a dual fuel system - solid biofuel and oil (I live in rural Nofolk so its easy for me) I hardly use any oil (about 500L a year). I am gradually changing my bedding to more heat efficient materials such as down or wool duvets which retain heat better than synthetics. I have made many more adaptions. This is not about being Green for green sake but about being economical, efficient, and most of all, WARM!

Personally, I am laying up stores of air in my lungs and good times in my mind. 2011/12 will be just like any other year(s), except that I will be that much older and therefore more able to enjoy what is to be enjoyed.
What's the big deal? A planetary/stellar alignment? no problem. These alignments happen all the time. Don't forget that gravitational attraction is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the centers of gravity of the affected objects.

Same way I prepared for Y2K. (nothing differently than being prepared for actual emergencies, i.e. earthquakes in my neck of the woods)
