i think i understand why ppl listen to heavy metal... is it cos theyre in need of a headache lmfao

I like evanessence and a few others that I remember the names of but they are pretty good...but I think they are more so rock alternative then headbanger heavy metal

I cant get with those heavy metal groups that just screaming and you cant understand what they are saying ...plus a few groups that I stopped to listen to and actually heard what they were saying...it turned out that they was tell ppl kill black..kill spanish...kill jewish folk...kill yourself and **** like that...Thats un cool and it wasnt just one group saying it

i love heavy metal and classic rock, its what i grew up with but latley rap has really taken over my most played list on my iPod. I can understand metal..real metal such as metallica or megadeth, i used to think it was hard to understand rap bt after awhile it was easy. you just have to get used to it. anyways my favorite rappers are immortal technique an T.I.P. and of course weezy

Rap music is better because it's corniness is cooler. Metal is corny as well but not as cool. Metal is for losers.

heavy metal cuz its actually makes u feel sumtin like power and freedom not unprotected sex like how rap makes u feel heavy metal is powerful and rap is just a crappy beat set to crappy vocals that sing crappy lyrics

Let's see...heavy metal is better. Why?
1) The guitars
2) The drums
3) The lyrcis aren't about naked women
4) The lyrics aren't all about sex
5) The songs actually have some meaning behind them other than getting laid
6) Heavy metal is better to work out to
7) You actually need to be able to play an instrument
8) You don't hear about metal artists killing each other (think Biggie Smalls and TuPac)
9) They don't repeat the same stuff over and over again
10) You can listen to it loud and not worry about ruining your hearing from the bass

To the above poster, saying metalheads are all Emos who cut themselves and break guitars, I think you'd better check your facts....in any case, I'd rather a band I listen to break a guitar than shoot someone. That's like saying all rap artists are black people who do crack and shoot each other. Grow up.
