Live Life guided with your heart
but steered with your mind
learn from your mistakes
and dont trust the fakes
Be true to yourself
and listen to hope, faith, and destiny
because they are happiness' weaponary
Never give up, and never give in
because in the end
you'll see you will always win

The late Venice (CA) Beat poet John Thomas had a line that kicked around my brain for literally years. I remember it with the passion of a plagiarist, but alas, could not ever top it in terms of outrageousness, of originality and just plain over the topness. Here it goes -- "Even now, the pornographers gather in the crematorium." I'm not sure what poem it is from as I wrote it down from hearing him read it at a reading.

Surprised by joy — impatient as the Wind
I turned to share the transport — Oh! with whom
But Thee, deep buried in the silent tomb,
That spot which no vicissitude can find?
Love, faithful love, recalled thee to my mind —
But how could I forget thee? Through what power,
Even for the least division of an hour,
Have I been so beguiled as to be blind
To my most grievous loss?--That thought's return
Was the worst pang that sorrow ever bore,
Save one, one only, when I stood forlorn,
Knowing my heart's best treasure was no more;
That neither present time, nor years unborn
Could to my sight that heavenly face restore.
- Wordsworth (written about the first time he experienced joy after the death of his four year old daughter)

The previous due Venice (CA) Beat poet John Thomas had a line that kicked around my suggestions for rather years. I submit to in suggestions it with the keenness of a plagiarist, yet regrettably, would desire to incredibly no longer suited it in terms of outrageousness, of originality and basically hassle-free over the topness. here it is going -- "Even now, the pornographers assemble interior the crematorium." i'm uncertain what poem it incredibly is from as I wrote it down from listening to him be taught it at a reading.

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."
An excerpt from "The Walrus and The Carpenter" by Lewis Carroll
Disillusionment of Ten O'Clock
The houses are haunted
By white night-gowns.
None are green,
Or purple with green rings,
Or green with yellow rings,
Or yellow with blue rings.
None of them are strange,
With socks of lace
And beaded ceintures.
People are not going
To dream of baboons and periwinkles.
Only, here and there, an old sailor,
Drunk and asleep in his boots,
Catches Tigers
In red weather.
Wallace Stevens

Oh lovely little coffee bean,
"Morning" you have meant
When you are crushed and percolated
You have such a wonderful scent
When you are stirred with cream, so sweet
I savor your rich taste
You waken desire to drink so fast
But you must not wish haste
For when you arrive at my tender lips
Freshly from your pot
Your caress might burn my tongue
For you are too damned hot.

whales have calves,
cats have kittens,

bats have bittens,
swans have sygnets,
seals have puppies,
but guppies just have little guppies.
