I'm not a Republican and I don't like either of them. However, at least the elder Bush actually fought in a war (World War II) when the opportunity to serve his country came up; the younger Bush got a cushy spot in the Texas Air National Guard and then didn't bother to show up even for that.

Bush Sr. -- actually served his country with honor and courage. He never shrank from his duties. He is a man of great intellect and knows a bit about the world we live in.

The Gulf War is one of this country's finest moments. He created a true coalition, executed a flawless military campaign, and never exceeded his UN Mandates in the prosecution of that war.

I have never agreed with his politics, but I will acknowledge the man for his accomplishments.

Bush Jr. is simply put...nothing like his father.

Neither.

Ever heard the phrase "the sins of the father will be visited upon the son"? It's quite appropriate now.

Bush 41 enabled and set the stage for Bush 43. One is just as bad as the other.

Are those my only choices????

I'd have to go with Bush Sr. At least he appeared to act based on what he thought was best for the country - W acts like a spoiled kid most of the time. It scares me that he thinks the American people are as dumb as the American people think he is.

I agree with you. I'm not a particular fan of either, but aside from his military service, there is no doubt that the elder Bush is quite intelligent. He had a firm grasp of world issues. I'm sure there have been times watching Junior on TV when Mom and Dad have cringed.

both cuz theyboth served this country! being a president of America is not that easy. U can't blame the younger Bush all the time, cuz whatever decesions he makes it's not only his decisions that's why there's a congress right.

Bush Sr.

He at least didn't break the law, publicly admit breaking the law, and then claim to be above the law.
