On Fri. nite @ a party-there were abt 10 of us in the lounge room & we were about 2 leave when someone said my bff had 2 much punch cos she was being silly (we're in our 20's but she's v. immature) & i said (silly me) that she was worse the other nite on the way home- would'nt shut up & i just wanted to sleep- it was 4am! (said jokingly- not maliciously) & she yelled "ugh you can be such a b**** sometimes, Lena!!!" (really loud & in front of everyone) the room went quiet & my crush's face just fell & went all stony :( i tried 2 laugh it off & said "oops, i'm in trouble' & she went on abt how everyone was picking on her all night (not me!) & i apologised & she refused the apology. our group doesn't cuss so it was a huge shock 2 everyone & we're such good friends, noone (esp. me) could believe she'd attack me like that. she apologised next day & i accepted but i'm still not ok with it. i don't hang out with h8rs but i don't want to end the friendship, but she really hurt me (i cried :'(

just to claify- there was no alcohol at the party & the punch wasn't spiked... although it had too much sugar... so if she wasn't drunk..... i dunno.. i'm having a hard time coming up with excuses for her. noone has humiliated me or made me feel that small since i was 14!

Dear, sometimes people say things they don't mean and you need to find it in your heart to forgive, provided that the comment was only a one-time thing and wont be repeated. Charity is the path to follow, in my opinion. Show your friend what friendship really means. You are a dear and you can do it! Best of luck.

Your friend had alittle too much to drink, called you a *****, and everyone acts shocked? Seems to me that you opened yourself up for that by making the snide comment about her. If she's your friend, she's your friend...let it go. You're acting as if she fooled around with your boyfriend. Don't sweat the small stuff. Good luck.

Alcohol makes us do stupid stuff sometimes, and generally it is stuff we regret later.

Alcohol is no excuse mind you, but she did apologize. If she is your best friend, you need to explain to her how badly it hurt your feelings, and then let it go. If it happens again, thats a different story.

tell her how you feel, but you need to be willing to be forgive her. It was late, sometimes people make mistakes. You're going to let a friendship get ruined over one night?

She's a desperate little attention whore, and she felt you were making her look bad.
