does anybody kno of any good books? i really like the janet evanovich books..and i also loved "can you keep a secret" by sophie kinsella. i want to read a book like those. they're funny and romantic! thanx

If you like Janet Evanovich, you might enjoy the authors Sue Grafton, Marcia Muller, and Sara Paretsky. They all write about female private investigators, similar to Evanovich's wise-cracking Stephanie Plum. If you can, start at the beginning of each series as they are snappy and a breeze to read.
For the romantic comedies like Sophie Kinsella, I recommend the Irish author Marian Keyes. She does an amazing job of mixing comedy, romance and weightier subjects (like drug rehab). Start with "Watermelon" - you won't be sorry.

Sophie Kinsella has also written the 'Shopaholic' series about Becky Bloomwood, a woman with a fashion fixation in London and her career and friendships. She's a fantastic character. The first in the series is 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'.

I cant Help you with romance books, but if you like action, try Tom Clancy or John Grisham. If you like Medical thrillers try Robin Cook, or Michael Crichton. If you like scary books, the only place to go to is Stephen king. Political - Vynce Flynn.

If you like a good romantic, historical book, then Cindy Holby has a 7 part series that's awesome.
The 7 part series have the word "wind" in them. They're good. You'll laugh, cry and wish for the best for all the main characters.

anything by Jennifer Weiner is great or Jane Greene
also there is a publishing house called red dress and most of their books are of that "Chick Lit" genre
