BAGHDAD -- U.S. troops killed the al-Qaida in Iraq mastermind of the bombing that destroyed the golden dome of a famed sacred Shiite shrine last year and set in motion an unrelenting cycle of sectarian bloodletting, the military said Sunday.
Haitham Sabah Shaker Mohammed al-Badri, the group's Salahuddin province emir, was killed in a U.S. operation east of Samarra on Thursday, the military said He also was responsible for the June 13 bombing that toppled the Askariya shrine's twin minarets.

Here lemme try being a lib for a few...
Well now that is just typical gung-ho bloodthirsty con hate speech! So what, you wont be happy until every last Iraqi is dead? What is that? The "no living iraqi left behind" policy?
Dont you know Saddam didnt plan 9/11? So why the heck are we over there?
Everytime we kill an Al Queda member, they recruit 2 more angrier than the first to replace him. Dont you see you cant fight terrorism or it just breeds more terrorism?
In the end we're just going to end up with a nation that hates us for our tyrannical occupation and a nation of millions of angry Muslims globally doing anything they can to help the likes of Al Queda and Hamas. All because YOUR president (who wasnt even elected properly the 1st time around) wanted to be a war president to think of himself as "tough on terror." Man what a crock. The only thing hes tough on is the constitution and our freedoms signing things like the patriot act just so he and his buddies could spy on us and ensure they steal the next election.
Oh and opposing gay marriage and abortion. What up with that? So not only is he trying to stop the American way but true love itself? Boy what a loser! And whats wrong with abortion? So a baby gets cut away from its mother and killed. Ive never heard 1 complaint from any unborn baby! Its not like they care or even know whats going on.
The only reason US troops are on foreign soil is to try to make our president popular which he failed to do anyway. Thanks to our brave liberal media and liberal democrats, they have been exposed. We need to cut and run immediately from Iraq and start issuing apologies to Muslims everywhere for making war with their extremists.
There Im back. See that wasnt so hard! It just requires ignoring all knowledge I have of our enemies and listening to the idtiotic propaganda of the left. And giving in to mindless hatred.

It's a loaded question.
Killing the mastermind of the bombing that destroyed the golden dome of a famed sacred Shiite shrine last year is good.
The fact that an American had to do it is not. The Iraq's should have.
Also Haitham Sabah Shaker Mohammed al-Badri was an Iraqi government official under Saddam Hussein with no known ties to al-Quida before the war.
So did he follow the idea that my enemies enemy, is my friend?

Why are you asking the libs, do you really think Libs. are in the bed With Al Quida, if a Democrat made the remark you did , Republicans would hit that report button. we are proud this happened. The Republicans feel you can call the Democrats all the names one thing against those old geysers in Washington ,you hit report button,. To be frank I don't a damn how many times you report me , We don't agree with the Republicans any more than you agree with us.. What you have in the White House and Congress is enough to make any one jealous of the liberals great work. I guess if I had a losing party on it's last throe with that little Bantam Rooster and old fat as* Al Capon, I'd be so jealous also.
You make out like we like Al Quaida that is just as silly and childish and you know it., whine some more. Get a life.

Killing anyone anytime for any reason is never a "good" thing.
Does this make the conservative sector happy in a "revenge" thing. Does this increase the blood lust and perverse ideology of the Christian right. Is it a religious thing? What good has come out of taking a life? Will this teach the terrorists a lesson or has it both sown and watered the seeds for more murder and mayhem. Would any of this have transpired if we had not been there? We certainly have a lot to answer for and remember...we will.

I doubt you'll fine anyone on this forum who think terrorists are good. Believe it or not, liberals don't actually like terrorists. Gosh, I wish we could find the guy responsible for 9/11. Remember bin laden?

yes, it would have been best if we could have captured and tried him but I understand if it comes down to shoot him or risk him getting away, we must go with the first option

I think its great, but do you think we would have to do that if we wouldnt have invaded iraq or a lease left after we had saddam. I think we opened a can of civil war up over there.

Ok we know they never lie, Pat Tillman aside.
A truly good thing would be able to wake up, and read that Bush is facing Impeachment hearings, now that's a good thing!

Yes, killing terrorists is a good thing.
But I'm curious -- if his actions last year were responsible for "setting in motion an unrelenting cycle of sectarian bloodletting" -- what caused all the violence to happen before that one attack?
Could it be that sectarian violence wasn't all caused by that one attack, and was an ongoing problem for at least the past .... oh, let's call it 4 years at minimum?
So yes, killing him was a good thing. But it doesn't change anything.

Sure...it's a good thing. And it shows that what is occurring in Iraq is indeed sectarian violence.
