When my mum died 5 years ago i did see her a few hours b4 she died but did not expect her to go that night,thought she'd have a few more days.I left her feeling happy that she seemd to be ok for a while so it was sad i never got to see her just b4 but i spent time with her in the funeral home the next day

when my dad died in DEC 2006 2 days before Christmas and a day before my daughters birthday he was really ill in hospital ICU but the doctors said that he was recovering and was fine so i decided to come home, (i live in London whereas my parents live in Cleveland), for a couple of days as i was with my parents for the last 2 months and then go back to Cleveland with my husband before Christmas but i never got to see him again he died the day i was to travel back and because of the Christmas traffic we could not get there on time.....i feel so sad about this and always wish that i didn't go home and stayed at mums for another 2 days....hhuuu....sigh

here and now i left everybody i hold dear behind me moving away from home i havent seen my brother or his sons for 8yrs infact he has become a grandfather and im a stranger to the child as to many a child born to family members since being here ive lost quite a few too and mum and dad arnt getting any younger, time and distance is a cruel divider xxx

When my grandfather died about 14 years ago. I was visiting my grandparents after going to the dentist just around the corner and he had literally just dropped dead while gardening. If I had been half an hour earlier I could have been with him.

My father had a heart attack in the shower and was dead by the time the ambulance arrived. A lucky chap who avoided a lingering death that would have upset my mother.

when my dad passed away,i will regret it till the day i die,i was surpose to go the nite befor,i did not go,he passed away with a heart atact,so i did not get to tell him i love you an good bye,i did not have a phone back then.

now,a family member is dying and i won't see them or speak to them before it happens as we are in different countries at the moment.i wish i could say goodbye...
