I looked over a few books and then chose a few names that I liked. But, I wanted to give my children names that they could grow with . I made sure the names I chose would carry them through the stages in life. ( Example ) The name Jenna. Jenna as a baby, Jenna as a teen, Jenna the adult and then Jenna as the older woman. I hate it when I meet older women with a child's name....lol...... I hope this made since to ya .Best wishes with your new baby ! !

For the middle name, I always use family members names or a combination of names of fam members. The first name, I usually go on websites to try and find a few I like, consult with friends and my hubby, and narrow it down to one. Then I find the yahoo answers site and get more suggestions and I find a better name and reconsult with the hubby and find a better name thru a conversation and then consult with hubby...lol you get my drift. I'm having the hardest time deciding!!! I think I got a great name for my daughter now though...I'm gonna stop looking....for now :)

I bought one baby book name, and I scanned through it once or twice... There were too many weird names in it & I just couldnt find anything I liked...
So I asked some of my friends & family to be thinking of names & suggest some names... My Grandma would call me at 9am and say" I thought of the name .... I was reading this article in a magazine &.... (blah blah blah)"... I got a lot of awesome suggestions...
Anyways- I had a list of names & I didnt like any of them... I decided to just stop stressing over it & one day Id hear it, or see that 'perfect' name somewhere.... And one day, the name 'Jeremy' popped into my head & I knew immediatley, that was right for him!
I wanted his middle name to be Lee -after my best friend who passed away 4 years ago.. I felt like it was important to me, to name him after someone who was a big part of my life....

We wanted to choose names for our children that would hold special significance within our family.
When we learned we were expecting a son, we decided to name him after his two grandfathers, first name after my FIL, middle name after my father. When we had our second son, we named him after a dear friend of my husbands who passed away and for a middle name we gave him my husband's clan name (my husband is from Scotland). If we have another son, we are going to be giving him the same middle name as my husband, and a Scottish first name (to match our other boys) and if we have a daughter, we are going to name her after her two grandmothers :)
We have intentionally steered clear of any "trendy" names, because I wanted something more timeless and meaningful...AND I didn't want our kids to be one of five "Jacksons" in their kindergarten class :)
