I would love to read the opinions of the Amercian human rights fans and the Egyptians living in America.

Do you think if it was done by Egyptian against any other human who doesn't have the Egyptian nationality, what would be the punishment ?

I have read all of the answers to this question, and some are really good. However, as a mother, no punishment would be enough in my opinion if any pig like that put his filthy hands on my daughter. A long time ago there was a piece of news in "nos ildonya" magazine. It was about a rapist who had raped and murdered over 20 girls and women in Iran. Before hanging the pig in a public square for all to see, the man was turned over to the victims' families to do whatever they pleased to him. That was fair punishment, even though nothing could really put out the fire raging in the hearts of those people or could appease and comfort the victims of rape.

Personally, I would go after the pig myself and to hell with the so called justice system. Apparently "justice" is only applied if you are black, poor, Muslim or from any other marginalized minority. And people actually thought that Hitler was dead. HA!

These ex-soldiers should be given punishment that is way heavier than one would give to normal convicts. They're in uniform and we have high expectations from them. I've read other articles about this and their inhumane act deserves inhumane punishment.

But what do we know? Americans Vs. Iraqis? Government is probably just punishing them out of embarrassment or pressure from the media and make it look like they care. I bet this isn't the first time they've committed such horrendous crime in Iraq, only this time it leaked to the public.

I believe if it's the other way around, the Iraqi (or any Arab) would be punished greatly if trial is in the US.But come on, these are American soldiers. They will try to make it look like they're the victims here (will blame it to the hard life of defending their country in Iraq so they developed mental instability, etc., etc.) and will soften the punishment. I suggest death penalty regardless of Nationality!

iam not a fan of the american human rights or an egyptian living in america. however, i assume i may answer your question .this crime is multiplied a 1000 times because the girl was raped in front of her family , then they were all killed. i CANNOT even imagine my feelings if i witnessed such a crime at a distance, so how about an iraqi family having to face it before death gives them relief from such a satanic action.
if this brutal act was committed by an egyptian against a non egyptiam, he would be sent to guantanamu and stay there for life.
if i could choose a verdict for the rapist, he should be castrated then hanged . both punishments should be witnessed by chosen men from the community of the victims, chosen representatives of the society . we see this in american films which show the family of the victim and legal, religious men/women watching the convicted person during the last minutes in his life. in saudia, the convicted person is watched while he is executed in front of a specific mosque. but we canot see this sight though it is legal. we are too sensitive to do that. therefore my suggestion is more in keeping with our nature.

i have said before i cannot and would not condone the death sentence in any circumstances. but these men have committed the most heinous of crimes. i believe that if they are found guilty (i am English and believe any one innocent until found guilty)and i think it likely they will be found guilty. then they should never be allowed their freedom again. that they should be kept in prison for the remainder of their lives.
i also believe they should be made to face up to what they have done, by facing the relatives if the relatives wish to face them.

personally i dont think the nationality matters, i think the punishment should fit the crime, whereever or when ever it happens. i cant comment on what would happen if this took place in egypt as i dont know enough about your justice system

shalfat all nationalities and i mean all,,, have at some time committed dreadful crimes. to deny this is to deny truth.

the actuality is ''there is no excuse for this way of conflict crime which you point out yet it is in simple terms one crime of many committed by using a 'low existence ingredient interior the yankee military'. it variety of feels that the Iraqis raped and killed by using American thugs in simple terms could different than their destiny. the genuine unhappy element is that the yankee people think of that they are in a position to shelter such atrocities as this. perchance while an American gets caught tortured and his head decrease off or while an American woman soldier gets caught raped to dying, the yankee public could upward thrust up and giggle with the Iraqis and say Oh! nicely, 'it is conflict' What got here approximately to that lady replaced into worth extra beneficial than a team of individuals protecting the action of their ill military. an somewhat upset pink

I was in the US military for 9 years. And I served as a corrections officer for apx 1/2 of that time. To the best of my knowledge, no one in the military prison system has spent more than about 25 years locked up. Meaning that I believe that in 20 years or so maybe less, this guy will get out.....
He should be executed, simple as that. This 110 year sentence is just a way for the Army to Look like its being tough.....sad but true....I would volunteer to wield the sword, fire the gun or put the noose on his neck....But we shouldnt do it out of anger per se. it should be done out of justice...

Hi Mr. Wise,
This really upset me so very much, all wars, killings, rapings, any bad things do & only 2 years older than me & her sister just half my age .. i cried so much for this!
How do the families of these men feel & how would they feel & react if our people did that to their familes..... they would want a firing squad, or hanging, or public flogging until dead,or electric chair... they are so hipocritical!

Nobody of any nationality should ever be paroled for raping & killing to call these people animals would be a compliment to them & an insult to animals!

My mom says they should be thrown into shark infested waters!

Peace be with them!

My family liked Adams' answer.

Rape & murder to anyone of any nationality should carry a custodial life sentence. Rape has to be the most degrading, demoralising acts that a man can do to a woman, a 14 year old is still a minor. These men deserve to be locked up in a cell with big beefy, gay man & then they can rape then them.

Human rights in this instance belong to the girl. Rightly the american justice system, for once, seems to have got this right. Life in Federal Military prison is worse than death. I think that they are getting what they deserve.
