Because people are greedy.

Everybody affects everybody else. Also, corporations provide us services we need to live. I'm sure everybody knows about that.

The greedy people take from everybody, thus driving expenses up - For example, if I were to steal everything in your bank account, and you ran a business - you would have to up your prices to compensate for my actions. Therefore, my greed has affected all of your customers.

Add to that, government taxes keep going up to support all of their programs - as well as pay all of the government employees - that the more employees they hire, the more it comes out of OUR paychecks.

I'm not an anarchist or anything, but you get my point. Lower taxes and eliminate greed, and living won't be so expensive anymore.

Because you're poor.... I don't mean that as an insult, but seriously, if you had more money you wouldn't think of it that way.

Life really isn't all that expensive. But if you only make like $30,000 a year or less than yes I see your point.

life isn't expensive. the way you choose to live it is. if you live simply, your expenses would add up to less. if you have a materialistic view, chances are, you spend more money and time pursuing material things. and then you miss out on the things that really matter in life...... that's expensive.
