am i possibly psychic?

Question

ok im starting to freak my friend and myself out
heres a few things that have happened in the past year:

1. one day i went over to my friends house and b4 i could say n e thing he came out and said "guess where we have to go?"
i without thinking blurted out "to CVS pharmacy to buy batteries".....i was right

2. i was humming a song in the car, my mom then turned on the radio and the same song was playing

3. (same friend as in #1) me and my friend were talking on the phone and he asked "did u hear the secret that got out about(dont wanna say her name so i made up a name) tori?"
i replied again without thinking b4 speaking "that she is bisexual?"....i was right

these are just a few things that have happened to me
my friend really thinks im psychic now but idk if that stuff even exists so im hoping maybe i can solve the question thats been buggin me for quite few years now "am i really psychic?"

I'd say it's possible, though being unreliable as the human mind is, it isn't as important as it may seem. An important part of all this is gaining an understanding of the 'feeling' you get when you think of you know a (seemingly) unknowable piece of information.

A sixth sense guided bit of information will feel differently from others, if you can remember this feeling and note to yourself when you have it you can then keep track of when it turns out to be true vs. when it does not. By noting whether it has the 'feeling' before hand you can rule out 'the file drawer' issues which many have suffered with. But remember to be very stringent, perhaps only counting incidents in which you wrote down what you believe before finding out if it is true.

Also, meditation seems to greatly enhance these abilities as well, so even if you aren't you can develope your intuition.

My guess is that if there is no reason you should have known about batteries, it wasn't a popular song, and you never heard the secret, then most likely you are psychic. I am a bit psychic myself, but I am finding ways to focus my 'sixth sense' and my 'third eye'. Recently, I've felt like I've been having de' ja' vu', but after thinking about it a moment, I specifically remember having a dream about that a couple years ago or something, along with having dreams about the future. There's more than that, but you ARE most likely psychic.

This is a classic case of something called "the file drawer problem," something I learned about in a college psychology class. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_drawer_problem ) People tend to remember incidents where they correctly guessed something that turned out to be true (because they are unusual events) but they forget all the other times when they guessed things that weren't true (because they are ordinary events).

For example, you are remembering 3 times when things you said/thought came true. How many other times have you said or thought things that *didn't* come true? Probably tons (but you just don't remember them because you didn't consider them to be unusual). By pure chance, everyone occasionally happens to be correct when they guess or predict things. The real test would be if *every time* you guessed something it came true.

You have to predict which cards are drawn. Most people get about 5 right on average. That's normal, due to pure chance. If you get more than 10, then that might be a sign of psychic ability.

You could be, you could have always been but suddenly you are more aware of your abilities. If you really are psychic then it will show. People will try very hard to tell you that you are not. Like I said keep practicing and if it happens every time then congrats you have a power alot of us would like to have

could be. I've done this loads of times. i guessed when one of my friends was gay, thought of a song, and then had it play on the radio, and one time i picked up milk at the store, and it ended up we were out, and i didn't know it.

i don't believe in coincidence. you should write down when this happens, so then you could see how often, maybe ask around some other place that will give you more reliable answers.

What you have been expierincing is called precognition, the thoughts that come along with the ability to know what has been said. Premmonition is the ability to see the event with pictures and conversations perfectly exactly as they will happen in the future.
