How can I get into selling cakes that I decorate?

I have just learned how to make cakes and I would like to sell them. How can I advertise that I can do this?

if you have just learned I would suggest getting a job in the bakery of a local supermarket. You can build up experience and efficiancy. Spread the word with your friends that you are interested in baking cakes for money. Take pictures of everything you do that's neat and put them in an album; anyone who wants to spend big money on a cake wants to see your work. Some grocery stores let you put up those little postcards that you can advertise stuff for sale on, or you can try putting an add in a local newpaper classified section. THere's also the yellow pages. Good luck!

Get a website. Get business cards. Pass them out to bakeries and individuals etc. Create a portfolio (photos of your work) that you're able to show to people.
