It does really depend on what type of field you are in. People say that Vegas is at it's worst with jobs, but so is everywhere else. I've been to a couple larger cities in teh past year, looking for work, and the only place that has given me work is Vegas, so I can't say that there is nothing here. There is always new work showing up, so if you have a good work history, you'd be in pretty good shape. It is exp. to live in a nicer part of town, so make sure you keep that in mind when it comes to housing as well. I myself love this city, and if you are good with managing your money, there is nothing that says you couldn't make it here.

yep, it's getting expensive, and a lot of the apt. complexes are goin condo, so apt. rentals are at a premium... do you really want to live in LV? I was there for 9 yrs. and don't care if I never go back

depends on what part of town you plan on living in. there are some cheap places to live, but they're not the nicest or safest. if you want to live somewhere descent, then plan on paying around $900.
