How pathetic is a professional lacrosse player's salary?

Just wondering. I heard that it is so low that players cannot live off their salaries alone.

I'm not positive, but I think the average for the NLL is like $200 per game. That is absolutley pathetic compared to other sports, but it will get better.

Most of the guys do have regular jobs. John Tavares, one of the best ever at indoor lacrosse, teaches in Ontario.

Nothing wrong with that, though. Lacrosse is trying to gain momentum in North America, and it provides some extra spending money for players.
