My blood bank has a "Lifesaver" program, where they call me when they need my blood type.
I usually donate 3 times a year, and have donated over 6 gallons total.

I have no idea my type. And I don't donate because I have that little thing called white coat syndrome and seeing anyone who even resembles a doctor sends my blood pressure straight through the roof.
You think I'm kidding, I'm not.

O positive and yeah I do several times a year
I also donate platlets 3-4 times a year
I am on the bone marrow registry
and have signed my license to donate organs
can you tell I am a nurse?

AB- and I do not donate on a regular basis. I'm on the rare donor registry and they prefer you don't donate regularly so that you'll always have some to spare if they call needing it in an emergency.

I'm O negative and I've been donating every 56 days till a couple of months ago.
I went in and they told me that I had to wait 3 more weeks.
Last week was 56 days, so I went again. They told me to wait another week.
56 days is 8 weeks, but they only let me donate every 9 weeks.

A negative, fairly rare and I do donate when I am called, now that I am able to. I couldn't for a long time as I was ill and my blood was not acceptable for donation.

Usually donate less then once per year. I would donate more but I never think about it, and it is a pain to drive to the blood bank and donate... and their hours suck.

I'm O positive with a Louis B strain. Don't ask me what all that means. All I know is it's rather rare.
As for do I donate, no I don't. I'm not allowed because I'm often anemic and my veins tend to either collapse or blow up like balloons, so docs told me "no way".
