If translated directly into our native language it would sound funny as hell and even loose it's meaning. There are thousands out there.
For me, the funniest would be the KFC slogan "Finger-lickin' good"
And the saying "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush".

or what about the "apple of my eye..", "at each other's throats","bad hair day", "brownie points", "double whammy", the word "piggyback", "spitting image", or "Til the cows come home"..☺

a steal = if something is a steal, it cost much less than it is really worth.
e.g. it was a steal when john bought the car.
filipino: yun ay nakaw noong binili ni juan ang kotse.
call it a day = decide or agree to stop doing something
filipino: tinawag ito na araw...??? does it make sense?

For idioms, I immediately thought of "kick the bucket", meaning "to die". In tagalog it would be "sipain ang timba". :D
