Are they durable and without needing too much servicing?

An entry-level instrument made in Indonesia. Product of Samick Corporation, well-known for mediocre pianos.

They won't stand up to repeated vigorous playing, but they're ok if you just wanna bang out a few hymns now and then.

If you want something durable and reliable, you'll have to put out a bit more money. With pianos you get what you pay for.

Better than a Pearl River, but then what isn't?

I would not take the advice of anybody who has not been in the same room as the pianos in question. There is no way to advise other than in the most general of terms. We don't know the condition of the instruments in question. In general I would go with the non spinet, upright Baldwin. I would have both looked at by a piano tech if you are spending significant money.

Not a big fan, but they are good. The only servicing it should truly need is tuning on probably an annual basis, or more if its new.
