I live next to a boy racer who is always revving his piece of sh*t tin can at all hours of the day and night. Would I be justified in giving him a "glasgow kiss"??

Absolutely - boy racer another word for ****hole!!! They are immature , stupid and inconsiderate
Don't bother with the 'Glasgow kiss' you could get into trouble , more satisfying to go with all the other great suggestions.
Make it a week of hell
Monday Let one tyre down
Tuesday Let 3 tyres down
Wednesday Sugar in the tank
Thursday potatoe in the exhaust
Friday note on the window - Want to keep the noise up asshole??

do you mean the little metal di cast cars....... and boys playing racing them he he I personally think that boy racers cars have to be a few things, something that is small, cheep to insure, eats petrol for the fun of it, to have badly fitting body kits that still have car body filler all over it. A sound system that costs more then the car does. My Favourite is nothing else but an exhaust modification, and cheep alloys. The Car has to sound fast, alhtough the point isnt getting from a-b quickly it's getting from a-b badly, and everyone thinking that the person who's drving that car looks a little bit of a "SIlly billy" and dont forget the cap, the Im fantastic at driving even though my insurance is via my dad's and they have only passed their test recently. They also think that they own the roads and without a thought to many other safe drivers they cause the insurance to rise on potentially cheep cars to run for little town runarounds. As for the type of car Nova's, Corsa's Honda Civics are the most popular to date and the whole of history and the link is one of the most perfect demostations of a BOY RACER CAR have fun and take care

Explain to him in simple terms that his behavior is unacceptable and why.
Explain that you are not the only one who feels this way, but that you have enough respect for him to tell him. Explain that others with not so much respect have been known to damage a boy racers 'pride and joy' in subtle ways that make for costly repair bills.
If that doesn't work, remind him that some people might resort to "super glue his door locks, pour oil on the windscreen, place nails in the treads of his tyres so when he moves he burst all four tyres, put dogs crap on the door handles just where you can't see it put will find it, teach him the ancient art of walking by removing the bolt of the oil sump.
If you have done everything reasonable to reach a peaceful resolution and all this has failed I would understand why you might be tempted (against your better judgment of course) to take a form of retribution by perhaps a physical expression of your frustration.

Presumably he also drives far too quickly in built up areas, so he's not only a nuisense but dangerous. As for physical violence that is up to you, hitting someone always runs the risk of retribution from other members of his family or getting into trouble with the police. It's your call but good luck, I'd be tempted to leave a note on his car seat, attached to a brick.
