i love my coupe, but nothing replaces the "free feeling" of a convertible.

I miss it, it was a 1968 Monza Spyder. I didn't actually own it, it belonged to the people whose ranch I was working on. They let me use it on weekends to go into town. Sweet little car, low and wide. This was up in the northern Sierras, whipping that car through the turns in the mountains was a blast!

I miss all four of my convertibles: my 1956 Ford convertible; my 1957 Ford retractable; my 1961 TBird convertible; and my 1963 TBird convertible. There was a hard top 1958 TBird square bird in there between the 1957 and the 1961.
I loved them all. Then I got married, served in the Army, my wife and I had two children, and the 1963 TBird was traded in on an Oldsmobile station wagon, which was traded in a few years later on a Pontiac station wagon, and so on. The fun in the sun was over until years later.

I live in the desert now and I wouldn't want to fry what little I have left of my mind. When I lived in Michigan I had a Triumph and loved driving around with the top down. Now I would rather have a nice sporty coupe.

i had a 56 T-Bird and i don't have it because I traded it for a quarter horse and believe me when i say i got the better end of the deal.

I do. I had a 1986 pontiac Transam with T-tops. I drove everywhere without them, but they started to leak. I loved that car..............
