i wish i knew
what
you
are
talking about,
I see many, many people working. And I see far more where employers do not offer health benefits.
There always was and there always will be an 'underclass'..,
yourself included.
and no, I don't have to worry about health care because my parents take good care of my needs.
but I will repeat what I have been told many many times by them.
One never knows what will happen to them, jobs, their homes, the belongings. You can have it all one day, and lose it all the next. Remember that the next time you put down those in need silly.

the real problem is money
it is a government myth that there is a shortage
it is a product they control the supply of
unfortunately in today's economy
most jobs contribute nothing to anyone
so health care, housing, food, subsidized, free, public or private, it's all a game of cat and mouse, capitalism and socialism all mixed together in this country where conservative is a "good" word, and the word "SOCIALIST" gets you censored.
the last i looked the United States was as socialist or more socialist than most of the others. i suppose sweden and canada are more socialist than the U.S.
if you are rich you live in a capitalist environment, and have an option on a second mortgage if that interests you.
if you are poor, you are asking for social services.
it's no great treasure
rich people are not interested in it, and since money is just some paper nations made up a long time ago, it isnt like there is not enough of it so a poor mexican woman who is working undocumented to feed her family cannot have another baby
it's just simple humanity
you want a mexican maid and a mexican gardener, but you dont want to pay for their hospital care.
add a few zeroes to the budget. stop bombing and use the money to fix everyone's teeth and help them have a decent life. money is a state myth, and the sooner we all see it for what it is we will realize there is no reason why we are making people suffer right here among us.

So, WHERE do you get the notion that all of this is "free?"
FYI, you 're ALREADY picking up the tab for all the uninsured people in the USA, hon.
The United States is the only industrialized nation that does not guarantee access to health care as a right of citizenship. 28 industrialized nations have single payer universal health care systems.
Federal studies by the Congressional Budget Office and the General Accounting office show that single payer universal health care would save 100 to 200 Billion dollars per year despite covering all the uninsured and increasing health care benefits.
The United States spends 50 to 100% more on administration than single payer systems.
There would be free choice of health care providers under a single payer universal health care system, unlike our current managed care system in which people are forced to see providers on the insurer’s panel to obtain medical benefits.

This is yet another iteration of the welfare myth. There is no welfare. The nearest thing to welfare is TANF, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. This is provided to the parents of dependent children. This program has a work and/or job training requirement. And there is a 60 month cumulative life time limit on being in the program. No life long cradle to grave care. These are facts, you can look them up. But of course facts will never change the minds of "True Believers" in any myth. But these are the facts never the less.

I posted this answer once before but I think it is worth reoeating. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on the majority always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democrscy will finaly collapse due to loose fiscal policy which is always followed by a dictatorship The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations has been about 200 yrs.and they always progressed through the following sequence 1 from bondage to spiritual faith. 2 from spiritual faith to great courage. 3 from courage to liberty. 4 from liberty to abundance .5 from abundance to complancy 6 from complance to apathy. from apathy to depenednce . 8 from dependence back to bondage. Alexander Tyler 1787.

I completely disagree...That there are those who abuse the system is valid but to dissolve social responsibility is ridiculous and indifferent to the point of being inhumane. Today's society is so self centered and self righteous if left to the individuals of affluence the poor would starve and be left to the mercy of the elements and those who'd take further advantage as in corporate sweatshops and even sexual predatory and licentious behavior as is common when the gap between haves and have nots widen to such a degree that the better off see the proletariat with hate and prejudice based on economic relativity.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
Have you really stooped to such lower levels of human waste that you've lost conscience and become a judgmental god figure that dispenses reward and punishment according to your own warped dogma and concepts?

wish all that stuff really was free. we'd be in a utopia.
but um, sicial spending at the fed level is out of the barn and that cow aint coming back. and to their credit, most states and the feds have made significant efforts in reducing social programs. man, in texas, we went after welfare moms hard and made the dead beat dads anti up.
also you have to remember, you cannot run a orderly system of government with a underclass on the verge of open revolt. unless of course your answer is to shoot em all.
but food stamps and public assistence are a drop in the bucket compred to the costs of medi caide/care! that is the bankrupter and why health care reform must be addressed. like it or not, its the truth! it's going to depend on the nature of the plan as to wheather it's a glowing success are an abject failure, but it must be dealt with.

Wisconsin idiot Governor wants FREE health care for the whole state...AND...you do not have to be a long term resident to get care. Here a day - COVERED. Illegal - COVERED. Came in to USE and ABUSE our system - COVERED.
Jim Doyle is an idiot and if he succeeds in this I may want to move. We can't work so hard so that illegals and anyone anywhere can get free abortions in my state...oh...didn't I mention that? Abortions on demand are covered too. We here in the Great State of Wisconsin would PAY for ANYONE who wants one to have a FREE abortion!**
