I would never do it. It might be ok, but what if its not. That is a huge risk that could really cost you later. Make really sure about the warranty. I would just spend the 350.00 and get the inspection. I know someone that had a brand new 350,000.00 home built 6 mos ago and has nothing but problems with the roof leaking and some other issues. Noone is honoring the warranty. She has had to pay out of pocket all of the repair bills. She is sueing and I am sure she will win, but it is going to take forever.

GET THE INSPECTION.
Check the roof, the furnace, the AC, the plumbing, the electrical, the foundation, the insulation, the septic system if it has one, the windows, the doors, the ductwork, the fireplace, even the paint.
This is likely one of the largest single expenditures you'll ever make. Unless you're qualified to do inspections like this yourself, you need to hire a pro to do it. You should get a written report of the things that were inspected (and what wasn't, too) and some sort of indication of the condition of each area inspected. If possible, try to go with the inspector as he looks the house over. If you can actually see an item that he's commenting on, you'll have a better idea of what he's talking about.
And make VERY sure that the offer you write on the house allows you to get out of the deal and get your deposit back if you don't like the results of the inspection. But if your realtor doesn't include that automatically, I'd consider looking for another realtor.

ALWAYS get an inspection. Even new homes can have terrible problems, and you don't know what that warranty covers. Many problems won't even become evident to you, the homeowner, until after a few years, such as things that could be wrong with the foundation, mold, etc.,--but an inspection could identify these problems--the house being new is not a reason to skip the inspection. Especially if the neighboring homes have had problems, I would strongly advise you to have an inspection done. There could be things wrong that the previous owner doesn't even know about.

As a real estate broker I always advise my clients Better safe than sorry. Even on a brand new home, it is wise to get it inspected. Mistakes can happen and you won't find out until its too late. By all means get a certified inspector to check it out. A home is a huge investment

My husband is a home inspector and he is always saying there are no perfect houses, not even when they are brand new. Given that little bit of sage advice, I might hire an inspector to look it over for you.
Would encourage you to look at the home warranty and see how it applies to you as a new owner and if there are any pre-existing clauses. Also, what is covered for the seven year period?

It is always better to have an Home Inspector look at the house you want to buy. He may spot things wrong that give you a bargaining power on the price or have owners repair before you buy the home.The warranty is nice to have but know what your getting home wise before buying it.

No sometime it is not safe without inspection can buy a home. a brand new home also having a big problems.get an inspection always.

NO- Pay for the inspection!!!!!. You never know why they are selling and if the warranty is transferrable. spend the extra $$$$ and have the inspection done
