I'll be spending a weekend in downtown Boston and would like to find a place to park the truck and trailer that is not too far away. Wal-Marts won't work as you cannot leave a vehicle unattended. The closest place I found was a Super 8 in Weymouth, but I'm not sure if that's a decent area. We are willing to pay to keep it at someone's business.

I too, am a driver so I did some checking for you.

Super 8 Motel - Brockton/Boston Area
385 Westgate Dr.
Brockton, MA 02401
Nightly Rates: ($99.01 - $109.01)

Okay, found a couple more for you...

Ramada Inn - Boston
800 Morrisey Boulevard
Boston, MA 02122
Nightly Rates: ($139.01 - $139.01)
2 Star

Boston-Days Inn
1800 Soldiers Field Road
Boston, MA 02135
Nightly Rates: ($125.10 - $160.00)
3 Star

All with truck parking.

Now if you'll go to Hotels.com or Priceline.com and bid for a lower price on the room you want there is a HUGE chance you can get it for less than 50.00 a night.

Good Luck

I completely agree with FineWhine. Brockton will be closer, but invest the extra few minutes and drive down to Weymouth. Also, if you call that Super 8 location, they may be able to tell you of other (maybe closer?) locations if they are a franchise. You won't find anything "close" to downtown Boston, as you'll definitely need to travel outside the city, and Weymouth is around 30-45 minutes out.

The only place I know of (thanks to a friends hubby who is a driver) is a huge Truck overnight stop in S. Attleboro, MA which is right by the Rhode Island boarder.

Weymouth would be closer (this is a good 45 min out of town), and it's a very good, safe town. Just be warned that the road to Weymouth, Rt. 3, is the main road on/off the Cape. So you would hit lots of Cape traffic.

Brockton is a little bit closer BUT it is a fairly high crime area. There are a few ok parts, but def not where I would base myself on vacation if I had a choice.

Do you know if all Super 8's offer this? I believe there is one in Watertown, and that is very close to Boston. Wish I had some better suggestions for you. I hope someone w/a business/space spots this! Good luck!
