Hi,
my son is expected to be born in a few days. Unfortunately, we still haven't decided on a name.
We have a few favourites now, at least. The boy will be German and most probably grow up in Germany, but the name should be pronouncable and nice in English as well.
So what do you think about:
- Julian Chua
- Benedict Chua
- Julius Chua
- Johannes Chua
- Carl Chua
- Jonathan Chua
?
Really appreciate your honest opinions.

I really like Julian and Julius as good names, although I don't really know how you would pronounce the middle name in English, and that could affect the way the names sound together.

personally i prefer benedict, there are name ways to pronounce or shorten the name and is pronounced the same. I like the sound of it with a german accent as well. sounds really exotic and it's not an overused name. julius reminds me of ceasar and julian of the tv show smallville (was a murdered kid of a crazy obsessed killer) johannes reminds me of bach carl is nice in german but not so nice in english sounds plain and boring and has a hard edge to it. jonathan is a kinda common name but not too bad. hope i was able to help and not turn you off all the names!

I like Julian, Jonathan and Johannes (I have a dear friend named Johannes), but they will probably be mispronounced in English. I would think that Johannes would be the least likely to be mispronounced though, because I would think people would recognize it as a German name and know how to say it.

Julian- Great. Like the boy on Big Daddy. I love it

Benedict- He might get made fun of. Sorry
Julius- Okay. People might call him Julius Ceasar though
Johannes- No.
Carl- Decent. Not common, but not weird.
Jonathan- people will just call him John. It's fine

but my pick is definetly Julian
