My reasons are, they make outrageous claims in order to get votes, then, do nothing.
Also, there entire party is a contradiction. They want less government so they say, then time and time again vote for more and more government involvement in our lives.

People like to refer to the patriot act as involvement in our lives but I have to hear of anybody being thrown in jail or whatever, because of the patriot act. Someone send me some links on the victims of the patriot act please I need to update my info

I don't support them because,

the last time we had a Democratic President and a Democratic Congress 1993 and 1994.

They CUT education funding 16% the first year and pell grants the 2nd year.

Despite all thier talk of being the education party.

They blocked Universial Health Care in Committee and refused to allow it to be voted on in 1994.

No wonder the Democratic Presidential candiates always talk about universial health care, they know thier party in Congress will block it, just like the Democratic controlled Congress's did in 1973, 1978 and 1994 !!!!!

Look at their "frontrunners" for President ! Hillary , the greedy , self-centered , morally bankrupt , unintelligent , lying , conniving , totally inexperienced , pathetic little woman that wants the president`s office for only one reason .......... to further her own ridiculous personal agendas and to be remembered as the first woman president . NO other reason ! Then there`s Obama ! Pretty well on par with Hillary in the I.Q. basement , but wanting to attack our allies ! See what happens when you start feeling better and go off your medication ? And these are the Democrats' "cream of the crop" ?? What does that tell you about all the other party members ?

I do not believe the government or anyone else is entitled to my personal property. As an extension of this, I do not want to pay any more taxes than I have to so that we can have roads and a military.

One major aspect of the Democratic party that I dislike is they way many of their proposals wish to micromanage the lives of others. I do not need them to tell me what I can spend my money on, what kind of insurance I should have, what kind of emissions my car can create, what kind of firearm I can have, who I can listen to on the radio, what words people can say etc etc.

I do not support the democrats because
1. they are defeatocrats
2.they are weak
3. they are whinners
4. they pretend to help the poor and minorities by allowing them to live off the government 'tit", so as to keep these people on their voting rolls
5. they have crooks in their ranks and allow them to continue working in their goverment positions
6.they pretend to support the troops all the while undermining and undercutting them
7.they support killing the unborn
and many many more reasons.

I don't support the Dems because they are supposed to be the party for the middle-class, but yet they insist on giving god knows how many illegal aliens amnesty for breaking our laws in the first place. The middle-class has lost enough jobs to outsourcing by this wonderful congress we have and now we're supposed to sit back and let them give amnesty to HOW MANY(12-20)million illegals. You have to be joking me.Just shows you who is run by foreign governments and global corporations.I changed to independent after their last stint of trying to pass amnesty and i will never vote for a democrat again."They'll make a change for the better" whose better, cause it's not for me or my family.Besides, they're all mostly corrupt anyway Repub or Dem.What did happen to the party for the middle-class?Now that's a good question.

primarily economic. on social issues, i would be classified as a liberal. but on economic issues, i prefer the consevetive rhetoric. i say rhetoric because so many times that's all the modern republican party offers.

another thing that really bugs me about the demos is their hypocracy. they are the worst of the elitists. they always know what the rest of us should do and how we should live, but their rules certainly don't apply to them.

addendum: it's not that the patriot act directly infringes on my rights, it's that it infringes on the constitution. i would prefer we leave that door closed. also, i disagree with creating the department of homeland security. a true conservetive should always, ALWAYS work to make government smaller, not bigger....BUT the right conservetive can clean all of that up.

Interesting though pattern, as govt has increased in the last 7 years and govt has become more involved in our daily lives thanks to things like the patriot act.

Also, I've seen some pretty outrageous rhetoric by the executive branch in recent years.

I have a hard time supporting both parties because of the stupid bickering. The stupid witch hunts are probably the most irritating.

I oppose their socialist tendencies to take tax money and create mandatory govt-sponsored charities.

I oppose their fiscal policies that don't put the needs of American residents first.

I oppose their inconsistency -- they say they want to fix problems, but then don't. (Other parties admit they won't fix the problems.)
