I'm a graphic designer / web developer and am looking for an affordable mac desktop. whats a good one that i can get? thanks

Check Apple's website. New Mac desktops start at $600 for the basic Mini, and a Mac Pro can cost more than $20,000 fully loaded with every possible option (workstation graphics cards, a pair of 30" 2560x1600 resolution screens, more RAM than you'll need for a couple of years, and other fun stuff). Also, check Apple's refurbs...they give you some pretty signifigant discounts.
And don't forget AppleCare!

well the cheapest mac desktop u can get is a mac mini. its not very powerful, but its good for a basic user. the step up from that is the imac. it has dedicated graphics, and a more powerful c2d cpu. imacs start @ $1000.
