Thanksgiving help please??

Question

My parents and I want to go on a 4 day 3 night vacation on my Thanksgiving break. We would like to go someplace that is fairly cold, has lots of pet friendly hotels, shops, resturants, and is a fairly small town. We have been to Arkansas, and Mississppi. We do not want to go to Louisiana, New Mexico, or Colorado. We need a place that has fairly flat terrain for a elderly pet of ours. Where could we go, (In the U.S.)??

The Alabama and Florida Gulf Coasts would have much of what you seek. It wouldn't be cold but it would be cool at that time of year.

I do wish you hadn't ruled out New Mexico. Taos is a lovely and charming little city with virtually everything you mentioned.

You're absolutely right, The Gulf Area in AL and FL are superb that time of the year. I'm from Alabama and it's honestly beautiful.

Not only is Taos gorgeous but Las Cruces, NM is so wonderful. So much history and great little shops.

Or try Gettysburg PA. Talk about small town with great atmosphere!!! The history rich area gives everyone something unique.

Another out of the way place that is stunning is Moab Utah. If you aren't into beautiful sunrises and wonderful sunsets though I don't suggest you go. LOL There's a lot of walk and a lot of hilly terrain there though so not good with an elderly dog.

Try Cleveland suburbs. There r lots of places. For instance there is a nice town called Oberlin, Ohio. It's about 45 miles outside of Cleveland. There's one called Lorain, about 28 miles outside of Cleveland. You can go to "One tank trips" with Neil Zeuker. Do a search for www.fox8news.com, and look 4 that title. It's one of Cleveland's local news station. You can just about choose anywhere in Ohio, bcuz it's xtremely cold in the winter. Good Luck!
