It was years ago, after 9/11 when a talk show host asked Tancredo how you get leverage on terrorists without country affiliation, and he said you could say you would bomb Mecca. Not his most brilliant statement. But he wasn't a presidential hopeful at the time.
Why they are recycling it is because a journalist brought up the old statement and the other papers now care, since he is running for President.

Tancredo.
Hre should just drop out now because no one will support him after him saying that. It is uncivilized and we would be going to war with the rest of the western countries plus more.

that nutjob tancredo wants to bomb mecca. dang that would go over well with a particular one third of the world. you wanna bring the war to america that would do it. 3 million moslem citizens of the usa would probably have some concerns as well.

If you "forgot the guy who said it", why are you posting this trash? Tancredo is something less than a frontrunner, for obvious reasons.

I've seen quotes attributed to Tancredo.
I don't know if anyone else has said it.
