Support her immediately and enthusiastically.

With any luck, she'll be well along in her training before it occurs to her for you to do it with her, and you'll get away with just supporting her.

I just signed up for my first Ironman, and I have my own personal reasons, as I'm sure your wife does. Why don't you ask her?

doing the ironman may help your wife feel like she has accomplished something she's always wanted to do.... she must be in pretty good shape and has had lots of training!!!

I believe your wife my talk about doing it because it probably has been something she wanted to do all her life. She may feel like now is the time to do it. It can be a sign to you of her endurance.

she might be truely genuinely motivated to do it. you should support her if she thinks it would make her a happier person. im sure youd want her support if youre lifelong dream was to buy a ferari.
