it depends what kind of style you're going for. My room has this 50's contemporary thing, so all the furniture is white, then 2 walls are cream, and the other is this nice green, and I'm even going to buy funky lamps and green bed sheets

Dark blue, i thought it would look really nasty and dark, but when i painted mine dark blue it looked really nice and warm. I still love it now!
