Weird Al is a good choice. I'm pretty stuck on a handfull of bands, but even I couldn't listen to them only.
I think one reason why people stick with favorites is that even though variety is good and you might tend to wonder if you are missing anything, the sad fact is that if you try to find new stuff you are going to use up an awfull lot of time listening to crap.

No I listen to a variety of artists. There is just to many great ones to listen to only one.

People who only listen to one artist are missing out of a lot of great music. That also applies to people who will only listen to one genre of music.
You can't be a true music lover and be that closed minded.
