Well it depends if you consider your son mature enough to handle it. All there really is in that game is blood, gore and strong language. There are a lot of people out there that let there kids play video games like that, and 90 percent of them are fine after playing it. There are a lot of kids that play games like that and it usually has no effect on them. I mean after the age of 13 or 14, I think the kid knows whats right and wrong by then. But like I said it depends on how mature he is. And besides the game is meant for age 18 and over, if you think about it, what HUGE difference does 3 years make?

It really depends how comfortable you are with it. The rating for this game is Mature, for those who are 17+. It not as bad as some games are out there, but it is a personal decision. You can always test the game out before you buy it, try renting it at Blockbuster or see if the store will let you try a demo. But again, according to his age, your son is too young.

your son is going to play that game at his friends house, regardless if you think its appropriate for his age. he is 15 now and its about the time were boys his age start making their own decisions. hes old enough to drive a car. by law he doesn't need a baby sitter when you go out at night. yes this game is pretty violent however, I'm sure he sees violence on the television a lot more. you just have to remember that your little boy isn't so little anymore. you should let him start making his own decisions. if you do not want to pay for this video game (which is completely understandable) tell him he must acquire the funds for it himself if he wants to have his own copy. really its up to you. you are the parent but he is 15 and 15yr olds need to feel as though they are more independent.

its not much different than a pg 13 movie except for its a more complicated play button. and at no point do you kill humans, its like independence day with huge guy with huge machine guns. plus its not very realistic, he'll be able to understand it. also hes 2 years from being able to legally buy it with out you, how much of a maturity difference could their be? let me point out that hes probbly masturbated over 40 times and if he has a decent socail life watches unrated movies at frends houses all the time. i cant imagine it causing him to become ultra violent, most of the kids i know who play ultra violent video games are pacifists. beleive me hes less innocent than he acts around you, hes already ruined

The game really isn't all that bad. In my opinion, kids are seeing things way worse at school and in real life situations. You should focus less on fictional things such as this game and more on what kind of person he is. If he's well behaved he deserves to play the games all of his friends are playing.

Well I think that you should buy it for him depending on the way he acts. I'm only 13 and i have played a few games rated m for mature(recommenced for ages 18+) but they were crazy with gore.

actually, i know it style of feels like a severe element to declare, yet i'd kick him out of the abode. 26 continues to be youthful, yet whilst he's in basic terms too lazy to get a job and steals from you to purchase toys?!, something severe desires to take place to get him to open his eyes and understand he's an grownup and desires to initiate taking grownup responsability for his existence. i understand a guy who rather pressed rates on his son for making use of his mastercard at 18 years old. Caudling him and conserving him risk-free below your roof is in basic terms going to harm him interior the long-term whilst he can no longer stay to tell the tale interior the actual worldwide on his very own. As a determine you could no longer help him perpetually nor will you be around perpetually to grant for him. it's time to kick him out of the nest and permit him be taught to fly.

well you know, from what I have seen it doesnt look worse than what he might see on a movie but here is a site about the game and it also has a trailer http://gearsofwar.com/about/ .. I would say it is ok but I would let him know if he starts acting up because of it its going back to the store or in the garbage...give him a chance, you know?

well im 15 and i play gears of war, i mean its up to you if you want your kid to play violent games or not. my parents are cool with that kind of thing, so im pretty lucky. the game's pretty gruesome (they use heavy machine guns and chainsaws)
you should also be careful about letting him play it on xbox live because on top of the gore there's also older people who sometimes use foul language.

If he is not prone to violence and mature go ahead and get it. Just be aware it is a war based game so there is killing which is graphic but theres no sex and isn't very realistic like GTA
