I am a huge animal lover. Still, there is nothing like a big juicy steak dinner or freshly cooked crisp bacon. The smell is intoxicating!

I know a woman who has a pet cow named Moo. He is such a sweetheart. Cows are like dogs and cats...they love to be pet and talked to in baby voices. The whole thing just breaks my heart. I hate thinking about my food once being a living, breathing creature. It just doesn't seem right. Yet, I really love eating a varied diet. The whole thing just sucks.

It's only animals with hair or fur that I feel bad about eating. Anything with feathers, like ducks or chickens does not bother me. Although, if I had a pet duck I suppose that would be different.

I know, I can't eat meat when I think of where it comes from. So I try not to think about it.

No not at all, in the bible is says to eat the meat of the animals. I would never be able to eat a pet of any kind. We had a duck once that was a pet, my dad wanted to kill it and cook it and none of would say we would it her so I am not sure what happened.

Great question to post.
I have never been a big meat eater and don't crave meat. I do like the smell of bacon cooking married with a strong cup of coffee though.
I can live without meat and would rather help suffering people than suffering animals. I have never said that because it is so controversial but there it is.

no, I love my cats and dogs, but why in the world would I feel bad about eating meat when it's not cats or dogs I'm eating? I love steak and bacon too!! Fun to pet, better to chew!! ^_^

Not really. I love my cats, but I would never eat cat. I don't really care about cows all that much, so eating a steak has never caused any internal conflict for me.

I tried to be a veg. once, but it only lasted 4 a week.
I would never eat this kind of meat:cats, dogs,horses, deer,goats,fish, or any animal in the cat OR dog family

The reason it tastes so good, is because God made them to be eaten. The cow ain't mad, he doesn't know better. Enjoy that steak, and don't feel guilty, just be thankful.

Yes, completely! I tried to be vegetarian, but I couldn't do it. But, I don't eat as much meat as most people. If it's bloody I feel like I'm gonna throw up!

Youre right. It does suck. But my bff has stopped using wet dog food because it is made of horses (she has 2). And I will never go to France because they eat horses and goat brains there.

I LOVE my dog. I don't eat dog. I do not love cows, pigs, chickens or fish. Well I guess I do love them on my plate. Not torn in the least.
