Theoretically, these are two perfect systems. However, in reality , capitalism tends to erode democracy. If government actually controlled business and not the other way around, then this combination of capitalism and democracy be would perfect

Democracy is a political system and capitalism is a economic system. Not only can they co-exist, but they should be expected to since democracy (ideally) gives everyone a say in how they are governed and capitalism (ideally) gives everyone a chance to succeed. Just because some people take advantage of the systems, it does not necessarily mean that the systems are wrong.

I am afraid that the USA is not a democracy though it is definitely capitalist. I would say we are a capitalist republic. I am not really sure exactly if we ever were a democracy. The electoral college system we have in place clearly destroys any hope of a democracy. The word sounds nice so many people use it.
So to answer your question. I have no idea if they could co-exist. I would like to find out though.

Wrong. Democracy is mob rule and capitalism is protecting the individuals rights. There cannot be co-existing since the democracy only protects the rights of the majority and not everyone.

Capitalism is about private ownership of property -- it does not inherently give people who have more money more power.
As it happens in many countries, how loudly you can speak is dependent on how much money you have. Because of private control over the way information is shared.
But it's completely possible to allow everyone to have a voice while still not prohibiting private property ownership.

Some of the best examples, in my opinion are:
Holland, Germany, Canada, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain, France; Costa Rica, Finland, Iceland, UK, Ireland.
However, I'm sure they all have their flaws and corruptions, as we do.
