My friends threw me a moving away party. One of my friends got me this sweater. It's really ugly (not really my taste). The thing is she got it at Walmart but didn't give me the receipt and they won't let me return. That friend always saves receipts. How can I ask her polietly for it?

I have to save room in the moving boxes. I can't have that taking up space.

donate it to good will instead. or have a yard sale to help sell it to someone who wants it , you can get rid of other extra clutter and you can donate the rest to good will

sorry, it's just completely unacceptable to ask for the receipt, especially for a walmart sweater. Good luck on your move.

when you recieve things you don't particularly like, you shouldn't return it either way. the giver will be dissapointed, so you should just leave it in your closet. i mean, you don't have to wear it or anything; after all, it's the thought that counts.
