If so many people hate Bush and the Iraq War, Why is Guiliani so popular? Guiliani has said many times that ending the war in Iraq is not a good idea. The Iraq war has an approval rating of 37%. So why does Guiliani have a 46% approval rating. Other than crime reduction in NYC and looking good in the face of 9/11, can anyone tell me what he has done that makes him so great. Did i mention he supports tourture prisons.

He's popular for one reason only. The GOP thinks he's the only candidate who can possibly beat whoever is nominated by the Democrats. Thompson won't get in the race---I guess he wants to be drafted by acclamation or something. If he gets the nomination, he'll lose a lot of Republican votes because of the 3 marriages and his very liberal positions on gay rights and abortion. He also appointed very liberal judges. The NYC Firefighters will campaign against him and the 9/11 rescuers who can't get medical case will organize. Conservative Republicans can't tolerate him. Some with vote for him and some will not vote. Out of the present field, they think he has the best chance of winning. Neither party is thinking outside the box, imo. They both could have better candidates the American people would support.

The last election ended in like 47% to 51 % or something stupid didn't it?... From the time they first said gulianni was running, I've laughed and said "that was a great idea". He's a immoral and unpleasent person on all accounts, but he can squeeze the terrorist card like no other person could at that moment. One day he'll start crying about terrorists, the news will cover him more, and you'll see his ratings go up.

Plus if you look at the full videos of the meeting they had with alberto gonzales and Senator Feinstein at the Senate Judicial comitee...

Unsure if they show it there but she asks him about the reformed laws they made. They took out any parts about them being liable for voter fraud and problems with laws being broken wether by them or someone else.

Watching that clip tho, its at the end. Basically what I see happening is they continue to discredit bush... insert gulianii with motivating words about the war. And they'll still take a good part of the vote and makeup whatever they need to match the top candidates. If you really face reality there is the fact that the 3 nominee's are gulianii, hilary, and obama. Gulianni from the days he put in his "I'm running for president", I knew he'd be a top-runner just because he'd be easily controlled like a puppet and he'd immediatly be picked up by the republicans even if he was a gay liberal. The other 2 where a bit of a surprise. But 1 black guy, 1 woman, and a jerk pretty much says the election will be a funny one. Who am I going to vote for?... Personally I think Gulianni will be the same as bush, no backbone.. no bright ideas. Obama seems to be hell-bound in his idea's. He wants to go attack people, threaten and use the power of the united states to its full potential rather than being a reasonable voice. And Hillary is herself, almost what seems like a unplayed/unknowing card who if she gets in office may do something completely shocking...

Either way I have no doubt that the republicans will take the election again, alls they really need is to keep it for one more term and they'de probably complete all their cleanup goals. But they've already accomplished a ton in the 8 years they have been there, they may not even want another term and at this point be just like gonzales up there. Also, bush can't fire gonzales because he doesnt want someone non-loyal in his seat. He CAN go ahead and hire someone later down the line tho...

Just my 2 cents.

Because of four facts, Conservatives have a built-in advantage over Liberals: (1) while it is certainly true that not all Conservatives are stupid, it is still true that all stupid people are Conservative (as observed by John Stuart Mill in the 19th century); (2) by definition, one half of all adults have below average intelligence; (3) each citizen gets one full vote even if his/her brains are only half full; (4) most adults with enough brains don’t know most of the facts. Result: too many of the 2004 voters believed that Saddam Hussein was indeed responsible for 9/11, that he really did have a WMD, and that Bush was the best choice for President! And they would still fund this war today. That is a lot to overcome.

everybody does not hate Bush, in certainty few if every person outdoors the Islamic inhabitants on the earth hate Bush. After 9/11 a armed forces reaction replaced into the only decision. Debate and justification aside, we are at conflict, and that conflict desires to be gained. Even liberal Democrats comprehend a redeployment of our troops out of Iraq won't end the conflict we are at the instant engaged in. they only selection with Bush on the way it is going to likely be fought. The enemy the U.S. is scuffling with isn't in basic terms going to end scuffling with by using fact Bush is out of place of work an replaced by ability of a Democrat. the yankee human beings would desire to comprehend something of the worldwide does not basically end spinning by using fact some politicians depart place of work interior the U.S. Bush would desire to have all started an unjust conflict in Iraq, yet he would be kicking back on his ranch on an identical time as another flesh presser finishes it for him. I basically desire it somewhat is an American flesh presser who ends the conflict. If Putin nukes the U.S. for threatening Iran, even no remember if that's a nuke to take out our 3 service communities, the finished planet would desire to pass up. Being anti-conflict or professional-conflict is beside the point, conflict is right here regardless. the before human beings comprehend that and end the Republicans from stealing all of the investment meant for the troops, the before we are able to win it and get our troops back from the middle East.

Guiliani represents some of the worst traits of us Americans. He has a major anger problem, and his solution to everything seems to involve violence. So those who, for unknown reasons, love King George the Moron, are going to love Rudy too. Whether it's killing defenseless animals (for which those responsible will suffer in a future life), or killing Iraqis in order to save them (Vietnam: "We had to destroy the village in order to save it"), Americans are a violent bunch. Bank on it, a Rudy presidency would result in at least one additional war.

Giuliani is scumb.. and yeah he is not hero, The problem is people are ignorant and they don't do their research.. You know how many scandals have come out of 9/11 bc of him, If anyone had half a brain they'd know he's the worst canidate, but then again what do you expect from a country that voted for bush twice...

Guliani is less popular than all the candidates combined. He thinks that we should continue torturing our enemies, we should continue waging wars of terror on other nations, and he's pretty much another Bush clone in a pinstripe suit.

because 90% of any nation ( country population) are a brainless mass, fed dumb with mass media, without any own thought... do you really believe that you live in democracy, just because you may choose between bad and worse??? That's also a big question if you really choose, or if it has been done for you already. How do you know? Trust journalists and politicians...?

What is the funniest on elections???
The voters.

It's a mirage. The republicans have nothing to offer, and he's the best of nothing. Karma is killing the republicans. They tried to make an issue out of Clinton to defame him, and they got a president in who defames himself without the democrats even trying.

Because SOMEBODY has to run for the Republicans and Rudy has a rep for being in control on Sept. 11.
