I think Alonso is unprofessional and unsporting, coupled with his attitude problem and arrogant streak that makes him a much less attractive option than Hammy...and lets face it at the end of the day, our boy is homegrown and very likable....and boy can he drive!

Alonso definitely,he is better than hamilton because Alonso is much more mature and Alonso follows team orders unlike hamilton in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Hamilton.

Although Alonso is a good driver I've never liked his arrogant personality. If any other driver had done what he did in qualifying I would have been surprised. But with Alonso it is just the sort of unsporting behaviour that I have come to expect.

Alonso. He had to work his butt off to get to race in his life and didn't have the charmed good fortune of Ron Dennis's support all the way up. Nothing against Lewis Hamilton, he's great, he just had an easier path when it came to getting seats in the right teams, and so on.

Being a rookie with impressive pole positions and podium finishes, with leading stats over a reigning world champion teammate (in a similar package), Hamilton has the proof to brag as a better driver.

Being twice world champions and scoring podium finishes for 5 seasons consecutively with 2 different teams, Alonso have the stats of owning a PROVEN driving skills.

Both have the driving talent, but its not all about driving. You have to consider the team and the fan (especially the team supporters) in your act. With both of them exchanging words about 'British favoritism' or 'I'm the no.2 driver', they both suck in terms of professionalism.

This is much worse considering the true sportsmanship of their head honcho Ron Dennis (he is considering not to appeal the point revocation because 'it was unacceptable').

But being a seasoned driver with WCs, Alonso should have set a good example for the immature rookie. So, I would say, Hammilton is better...for now.

Hamilton all the way!
why?
Because he tried to put it behind him and he also apologised and it's not like it's his fault, anyway why should he move out of the way to let a team mate through if it means that he is going to go down too places hey you race to win not to let your team mate go in front. Alonso is crying over spilt milk if he wasn't so obsessed about qualifying and put his mind on the job he might have got 3rd place.

Compare the Hungarian GP.

Alonso making lots of mistakes, going wide, over-steering in strange places, unable to match the pace.

Hamilton....cool as a cucumber, in spite of everything, and after 200 miles and 70 laps; not a single mistake.

Raikonen simply made no impression on Hamilton.

That is the true mark of driving greatness, and places Hamilton at the top of the sport in every respect.
