If this is true, you NEED to stop giving her them and tell her doctor ASAP.... Here is what I found...
Birth Defects
Thalidomide can cause severe birth defects in humans. (See BOXED WARNINGS and CONTRAINDICATIONS.) Patients should be instructed to take thalidomide only as prescribed and not to share their thalidomide with anyone else. Because thalidomide is present in the semen of patients receiving the drug, males receiving thalidomide must always use a latex condom during any sexual contact with women of childbearing potential. The risk to the fetus from the semen of male patients taking thalidomide is unknown.
*************************************************************
Even a single dose of thalidomide can cause severe birth defects or death in unborn babies. Therefore, this drug must never be used during pregnancy or by females who could become pregnant while using this drug. You should have a negative pregnancy test 24 hours before you start treatment with thalidomide, repeating the test at least monthly. Do not start or continue thalidomide treatment unless you have a negative pregnancy test result.

How about you take a permanent trip to Chernobyl? The air might do you and her some good.
You're also full of it, considering thalidomide was banned in the 60s.

Is she pergo? no one should take meds for more than a week if the problem is still there she needs to see a doctor to find out what may be wrong. Even if those pills make her feel better that doesn't mean they are good. She needs a doctor.

First of all, you should never take anything that a doctor has not approved. Secondly, there are a lot of other things that can help without being a herb. Tic-Tac's worked for me. The mint helps to ease the sickness. also, a friend's doctor told her to take 1 benedryl a day and it worked for her. Bottom line, talk to your doc before you take anything else.

please have your wife stop taking the pills. When you are pregnant you must get prenatal care. If the morning sickness is really bad, her ob/gyn may give her a script for phenegan. That's what I took. Other medications can have harmful effects to the baby.

You really shouldn't give medication to pregnant people unless they check with their doctor, especially from a non pharmacist. Yikes!!
Have her go to the doctor and tell him about the pills and definitly stop taking them. Hopefully no harm has been done.

she should immediatly stop taking them and call her doctor. he will tell you if they were safe to take and if not can tell her what damage may have been done to the baby and what the risks are.
Shame on both of you for not consulting her doctor before taking any medications! i mean ASPRIN is dangerous for a pregnant woman to take for goodness sake.
