I know the several of the skyscrapers in NYC don't have a thirteenth floor, because of all the superstitious people out there. Actually, I would probably avoid renting on the 13th floor myself. Why tempt fate? I don't know anything about a Chapter 11 in books. There is a Chapter 11 in income tax filing! lol Now that would scare the heck outa me!

maybe because the no. 13 means bad luck - publishers are not afraid of chapter 11 because they know the book might make them money.

Naming the 13th floor anything except for "13th floor" doesn't change the fact that it is the 13th floor. It is a stupid superstition.
