It's been "awhile" since I was a girl, but I like to think she is still inside "somewhere." Looking back on it, I think it was all about boys, shopping, skating, hanging out with friends and talking on the phone. Best part was when I could finally drive. Ah! Freedom. I have always loved to clothes shop. Even if I couldn't afford the clothes, it was fun trying them on, and looking in all the stores for the best buys. Proms were the best. I got to try on formals in all price ranges. It doesn't cost anything to "look" and "try." I loved finding great sales. Jewelry is one of the main reasons why it is more fun to be a girl. Let's not forget make-up. So many rreasons to enjoy being a teen-age girl. I didn't mention music, did I? Discovering new groups, singers, and practicing dance steps with friends. I liked it that girls didn't have to be "brave" or "strong." We could just be ditzy and have fun. Now that I think about it, all the things I wrote about, I still enjoy. It's great to be a girl, no matter what your actual age!!!

I love having the energy and the ability to lose weight faster. I'm always hyper and I love that! Also, the young skin and no wrinkles and having hair that hasn't started turning grey yet. Overall, it's just a great feeling to feel young and able to go out there and do what I put my mind to-also knowing that I still have my whole life ahead of me to do what I want when i want.

to me, it's a time to be a person. i finally get to be different (preppy, goth, nerd, etc) and be considered a young adult. i get to make my own decisions and have responsiblities. decisions and responsibilities include friends, boys, classes, college, and life decisions.
it's actually my chance to shine and say "i'm not a little girl anymore! i don't cry! i'm a person and i do what i think i should do!"
