i consider myself to be polite and kind to my passengers, i try and make them as comfortable as poss, try not to miss stops, but sometimes it happens, but even so we dont deserve the abuse that we get.

when you have been there a bit you can move on to the better routes, and let the newbies do the bad ones

people all the time get a load of stick for jus doing ther jobs. they should be greatful, what if there were no buses? How would thay go to collect there benefit money from the nearest post office 10 miles away?
My dad knew loads of friendly bus drivers male/female they were great but living in a bad area at night they would run all stops just to avoid the 'thugs' could i say? got stones throne at them and threatened during the day.

Really what can you do, nothing. You just will have to as you sat act tought. People arn't ready to accept the common rules of society.
If it gets too bad i suggest you resign to protect your self, tell the company your concerns they cannot really do any thing but it will raise awareness.

Whoa, sorry that you had such bad experience last night, I would have been mega scared being threatened. Plus if there's only you on the bus and someone else who is nasty then it's not good. I say speak to your employer and report what's been happening and tell them that you're not doing that route anymore. You probably don't even get paid enough to risk your life with these crazy passengers. Your employer needs to investigate it's not up to you to deal with it.. So sorry friend, hope things improve. Good Luck & stay strong

Have a word with your bosses. Ask them to reduce the fares to a reasonable rate. And also ask them to consider that your security is being put at risk by their inability to manage the very thing that they get payed for.

Tell them you need security guards on the routes that are a problem. Look after yourself, you get paid to do a job. Not take shite.

Never ,never let anything go over your head!
You need to be aware of everything going on around you -ALWAYS
The moment you let people think that you are unaware is the moment someone will take advantage of you in your situation.
The first chance you get , take a self defense class-this will also give some self confidence and it will show -a conflict management course will help too.
