Generally the baby does take the father's last name, so I think it will be more than fine. Yes, you can change the baby's last name later on, but that may be difficult to do. Really, though, even if you and your boyfriend have trouble, he is the father of this baby, so I don't see why you would want to change it.

Well of course his whole family wants the baby to have his name. As for things not working out? A name change is not an easy thing. You have to go to court and Baby's dad can fight the change.

I hope things work out for you. Best wishes.

Yes he your baby can have your boyfriends last name he should be their in the hospital when you sign the birth record also you can change the name back as long as you have the money to do it . both of my kids have their father's last name and we have not been together in 12 yrs now but It dosen't bother me because they both are girls and will probably get married one day and change their name anyway.

yes the baby can have his last name, but you might have a hard time changing the last name if things don't work out, just do what you feel is best for you and your baby. GOOD LUCK!

You can give a child any last name you want... even if you just pull one out of thin air. It's kind of a pain to get a name changed (been through it) but it's possible

of course you can. the name you write on the birth certificate is the baby's name. if you want later on, you can petition for a name change. no body HAS to have the same last name as their family, either one side or the other. (Look at Joe Dirt)(just teasing). good luck!

Your child can most definitely have his last name. And, if for some reason it doesn't work out between the two of you, I don't know why you couldn't let the child keep his last name as long as he remains active in his/her life. Good luck and congrats!
