x^2 + 2x / (x+1)^2
x^2 + 2x / x^2 + 2x + 1

the x^2's and the 2x's cancel out.
therefore, your answer is 1.

= Int 1-1/(x+1)^2 dx = x+1/(x+1) +C
expl. x^2+2x = (x+1)^2-1 so divide
