(15 – 5) ÷ [(12 ÷ 2 • 2) – 2]
(10)÷[(6*2)-2]
(10)÷[(12)-2]
(10)÷[10]
=1

first do what is in parenthesis
15-5=10 next
12 divided by 2 is 6 times 2 is 12
your problem is now:

10 ÷ ( 12-2) =
10 ÷ 10 = 1
