Probably not, unless there was something else of use to us there. Don't forget, our friends, the Saudi's are Iraqs neighbors. It is important to keep all of our oil producing friends safe an in a stable environment.

85% of Iraqi oil for export is under contract to Compagnie Petrol De Francais (a French oil company). So, since we don't get that oil in the first place, it doesn't factor into the reasons laid out in the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 or the Congressional Authorization For the Use of Military Force Against Iraq of 2002.

this is old,, seen it on most every post, the thing is the usa is protecting other nations in the area of oil not so much for iraq, which many dont understand it.. lets face this one, the old ruler of iraq should be dead,,, you think ?

I doubt it. This whole war has been pointless. We haven't gained anything no matter what any Bushee wants to tell you. We aren't safer than we were before 9/11, in fact I think we're even less safe because all this war has done is piss off every muslim in the world.

now were just trying to be freinds and establish a government there so we can get cheaper fuel.

thats all it is.

the cost for oil is blood.

we need our family and freinds back in the usa so we can solve our own countries problems.

and with haliburton headquartered in the middle east we're supposed to believe this hasn't been about oil??? I just wonder what's going to happen for us go to into Iran. enough lives have been wasted. may we get out now and put our soldiers on border patrol.
