How many times do you wear an item of clothing before you throw it in the wash?

Three : I live, travel, and work in air-conditioned environs, and do not perspire very much. So, my clothes hardly ever get dirty !

Except for jeans, I wear clothing items just once before I throw them in the wash..

depends on what item of clothing you mean:

Jeans - 2 days
Trousers - 1 day
Suit - 1 day
Top - 1 day
Bra - 3 days
underwear - half day to one day
sleepwear - 2 nights

Is this too often? My mom is always shouting at me for the amount of clothes washing I do!!

Well, I'm not a dirty person and don't sweat really at all, so I wash them after wearing it twice, if not the first time, but only because I don't like my clothes to wear and lose color. Otherwise, I'd wash them every time.

I wear an item and at the end of the day if its not dirty i'll put it back in the wardrobe, i will continue to wear clothes until they get dirty, grubby or smelly then chuck em in the wash, but i don't wear em dirty if you know what i mean. I wash my underwear after one wear lol

My work uniform I wash every day. If I go out of the house at all I will hardly go more than one time, if only to be considerate. My holy around the house jeans may go a week.
