What should I wear on a plane ride from Madison, WI to San Francisco, CA? Also, what should I pack for my carry-on, and what clothing items should I pack for San Francisco if I am staying there from August 10-August 15?

i think that you should wear something that is comfortable! i go up to a cabin every year and it is a 4 hour car ride and i wore this really cute halter top once and it seemed comfortable but it was not!! it kept twisting around so i would just wear something comfortable and cute i would say just like a t-shirt or a tank top with shorts but DO NOT wear a skort because when i do it really gives me a weggie!!

I am going to San Francisco those dates as well, but I am flying out of Boston International Airport.

I suggest wearing something comfortable, because the plane ride wil be approx. 4 hours long. A dress would be a great thing to wear. C&C California makes adorable ones that are also totally comfy. Bring along a cute cardigan in case you get a little bit cold. If you don't want to wear a dress, maybe a cute pair of sweatpants paired with a tank? For sweatpants try Juicy Couture, and go to J.Crew for a cute tank. As for shoes, I would say a closed toe shoe, because your toes might get a little chilly on the plane. For carry on, pack a cute backpack or tote full of things to keep you entertained. An iPod, magazines, books, and don't forget headphones! If they are showing a movie, you will have to pay for headphones if you don't have your own. For packing for SanFran, I suggest things like capris and jeans, because it can get chilly at night. Also pack a few jackets and coats. Happy flying!

I'm from San Francisco and it is COLD even in the summer. So definitely pack some summer items, but do not forget to bring pants and a jacket, a sweater. Night is especially nippy and foggy, so come prepared. I know that tourists come to San Francisco expecting it to be warm, but don't be fooled! As far as carry on items go, it's not a very long ride so pack a magazine, a snack and maybe some music to listen to. Lastly, be comfortable on your plane ride! Don't be afraid to wear sweats =).

On a plane, wear something semi-casual and comfortable. Nothing that's going to pinch or itch while you're sitting down.
Check the weather in San Francisco. Chances are it's going to be plenty warm, but carry a jacket or sweater just in case.
You will want to pack clothes for warm weather, but pack for rainy days too, in case those happen.

Wear a cute pair of sweats! Or something comfortable. I remeber I wore some jeans and a tee and that was even uncomfortable, so wear something that is really comfy, but not like pj's or anything, just wear some cute sweats and a tee. I took a cute tote for my carry on. Pack a bottle of water, some gum (and chew some durring take-off and landing, your ears pop if you dont' chew), take a book or a magazine, and a cd player/ mp3 player/ ipod. That's all I needed and I did good. Be prepared for little glasses of soda too! They bring you some for free (or some airlines do) , they gave me the whole can for free!

I hope you have fun in Cali!

On a plan ride...COMFORT is key. Try some cargo capris and a tank or tee. Something very comfortable and loose. take a sweater can get chilly on the plane. I hate carry ons. Avoid them if you can...its a hassle to be putting them above or below you. Your in and out of the plane much faster than if your carrying around luggage. Pack summer clothes but also take some hoodies it does get chilly in the evenings in San Fran. Have fun!

Make sure to first find out what items are allowed on carry-on luggage. Smaller sizes of cosmetics are allowed in a certain size ziploc bag, I believe. Double check. Wear comfy shoes (flat or runners), comfy clothes. Wear a t-shirt and a sweater/hoody in case you get too hot or cold. Wear loose, comfy pants. On carry-on, take your iPod/music player, stuff to read, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, lip balm, etc... toothbrush in case luggage gets lost.

To take on the trip, bring a couple pairs of shoes that work for going to dinner, good walking shoes (you'll probably wear them on the plane)...... a sweater, socks, underwear, dress or skirt, some tank tops, you get the idea. Bring facewash/your skincare regimen, shampoo, etc... go thru your day in your head, think of what products you use/need the most.

Well you definatley shouldn't wear heals on the plain For shoes i wouldent say wear flip flops, but wear sandals because for 1 reason being because at every airport they will cheack you or scan you to see if you have a bomb attached to you. If you wear sneackers you have to go throuh thr process of taking of your whole tennis shoes and socks. for pants? i would recommend that you wear some thing short. since the place you are going to is hot. And you should wear a black shirt because scientist say that black is good for humid weather. I Wont explain why because its too long. But im just giving you the facts. hope i helped!

If you're flying alone, wear something you wouldn't normally wear. Go for an over the top high fashion look from a magazine. (Just opinion)

For functionality, jeans, tee, and a sweater for the plane.
Carry on should have all the necessities and some entertainment. Never know if your luggage will get there!
