Cut off all the dead and dying canes and then give your rose a big drink to try and dilute the poison. If you have to then prune it to 1-2 foot, but I would not suggest cutting it to the ground because if it is a grafted rose then you will lose your graft and all you will be left with is the stock rose it was grafted to. I also would not suggest fertilizing with anything except fish emulsion.
All you can do after that is wait and hope for the best.
Good luck.

Chill ZGirl,
The Rose Buds may suffer a die-back, and the leaves may show some signs of browning. Clip off all the rose buds both blooming and growing immediately. Prune off any lower branches from ground to about 4-6" above ground. Do It Now.
You will need to get to a Nursery or even a Box Store and purchase an acidic based Rose Food such as Mirc-Gro. You will also need to get both a small bag of 10-10-10 with minerals ($5) and a hose-end sprayer for the Mir-Gro Rose or Acid.
Spray the plants with a fine mist for a good while after you have pruned them. Have a small bucket with a mild Detergent or Clorox solution to dip the pruning device in after each cut. You should also wear gloves to protect yourself and plants.
About two foot from each dripline of the roses make a ditch or trough surrounding the plant. Make it about two or three inches deep. Sprinkle the basic 10 fert into each. For each plant count on maybe a few tablespoons per plant. Cover the ditch with new soil as to not further pollute the plants.
Put your hose so it can water the bushes around the trench, the whole trench, for about 1/2" or better. Squirt, and I mean squirt lightly the rose bush. Two days after the pruning and new fert treat the rose to a dosage, per manuf recs at new plantings, of the Mir-Gro. Again water the roots and the roots only for a few minutes!
Since you pruned them and they are under stress you need to water the roots every three days. Use the Mir-Gro the next week, then let them go for a month, however, keep watering the roots as a routine. Prune off any dead you see and spray the shrub with a solution of 1/4tsp Pure Ivory Liquid Detergent Soap per quart of water on a weekly basis.
This solution will get rid of most insects.
Weed killing agents work through soft tissue. The Rose has a shell on top and the weak leaf beneath. It/they probably laughed at the compounds. What you are doing is to reduce the possible damage and an aid to the plants. A healthy pruning, new base fert, and liquid fert can only make it a better plant. The 10-10-10 can be used on you turf and anywhere in your garden with great results.
Hope It Helps. gjgjobs@yahoo.com

maximum present day rose trees are grafted. which ability it incredibly is becoming on a distinctive rootstock. If the entire trunk is girdled it could no longer take in water and would die. what's going to improve back shall be rootstock and not proper(hiking rangey element that basically blooms magenta in Spring noted as Dr. Huey). If it replaced into an older plant with one entire trunk- be arranged for dying. If it had many areas of it incredibly is trunk and basically area of it replaced into girdled, the different areas would stay.

Trim back the affected foilage and then feed your rose Miracle Grow for Roses and keep it up until they perk up. I don't know what you used but you should be able to save the rose if it was not some really hot weed killer.

Flood them to try to wash it away, then make up a mixture of miracle grow in a water solution and fertilize the heck out of them. You might be able to jolt them back to life.
