i dont think so that people can actually get a real best friend, i have some preety good and close friends, but not a best friend.. dont you think??

I have a best friend who I've known since I was 7 or 8. We're so close that we're like sisters. My mom even considers her to be her 'second daughter'.

yes, i have one. the reason she's my best friend, and not one of my other friends is because we're closer due to the fact that we "get each other" completely....i could say woww look at that iguana!! and she wouldnt think i was weird. its the biggest relief in the world when you know you can say ANYTHING to someone, and they'll understand. also, we have the same exact sense of humor, and like most of the same things.

but i used to think that people cant as well. i used to, and still have a few very close friends. but you know at some point, one just stands out and you prefer sharing more things and spending much more time with him/her.

i don't care much for the term. Unless you're in a longterm (romantic) relationship.
Otherwise, it's sort of saying to your other friends,
"Look, you're a great person, but you're not as good as *insert name*. I don't value your campainonship as much as *insert name*. But, we're cool, right?"
